From Overwhelm to Confidence: A New Build Guided to Completion
Stepped in at drywall stage to guide a client through the complexity of new construction, transforming decision fatigue into a home that feels perfectly his.
This client arrived at the drywall stage struggling under the weight of decisions, carrying binders full of paperwork for his new construction. What he needed wasn't just a designer; the client needed a guide who could simplify the complexity and advocate for him.
I stepped in as a liaison between the client, his builder, and the trades, presenting thoughtful options across every system: counters, lighting, kitchen hardware, furniture, decor, and window treatments (delivering thoughtful solutions at a third of the previous estimate), and guiding him through each selection to remove the stress from the process. More importantly, the client's experience was transformed. By our next appointment, the client showed up with nothing but himself; the binders were gone, replaced by confidence and trust.
This is a live and work home with an open floor plan, designed to feel both professionally polished and personally welcoming. Every choice reflected his taste, supported his work, and made him genuinely proud to invite others in. We've continued the partnership through seasonal outdoor updates and a live plant service that keeps the spaces feeling fresh and cared for.
The result is a home that feels entirely right for the client, one he's genuinely comfortable in and proud to call his own.
