Michele Nicholson
Principal Designer, Haute Interiors
Many people don’t initially realize how much what enters their home can influence daily comfort and well-being, but that awareness tends to surface over time. You may notice yourself living differently, paying closer attention to the materials, the atmosphere, and the overall feeling your home creates.
A home should feel as good as it looks, supporting how you live, rest, and move through your day.
My own experience with chemical sensitivities reshaped how I design, deepening my focus on materials that support comfort, air quality awareness, and long-term livability, without compromising refinement. This perspective allows me to anticipate details most homeowners would not typically think to question, but that meaningfully impact how a home feels to live in. The result is a home that feels refined, considered, and balanced, where every material and detail supports both beauty and daily living.
I’m drawn to natural materials, varied textures, and biophilic elements that bring depth, warmth, and a grounded sense of calm.
Craftsmanship matters deeply to me, from the pieces I source to the final styling. Each layer is shaped with attention, so the home feels complete.
I founded Haute Interiors in 2007 in Columbia, SC, and relocated to Hendersonville in 2014, where I've served homeowners in Hendersonville with a client-centered approach, a steady presence, and a discerning eye for proportion and restraint to every project.
Whether shaping a single room or an entire residence, the goal stays the same: to create interiors that reflect your lifestyle, your vision, and how you want life within your home to feel, while quietly removing the complexity of decisions you shouldn't have to navigate alone.
I’m glad you’re here. I would love to connect and explore what we might create for your home.
With care,
Michele
